The Appalachian Alliance of Episcopal Parishes is a collaborative regional ministry in the Diocese of Southwestern Virginia.

Leadership & Administration

• Clergy: The Rev. John Churchwell (John+) served as rector/priest-in-charge during late 2022.
• Joint Initiatives: The parishes coordinate joint "5th Sunday" services, rotating vestry schedules, Christian formation classes, and collective outreach initiatives.
• Outreach Focus: The alliance supports regional ministries such as the Tazewell Ministerial Association, Bluefield Union Mission, "A Child Shall Lead Them" Food Pantry, and local flood relief, as well as international partnerships (Haiti Partnership).
